Arsenal legend Aaron Ramsey leaves new club after just six games following family trauma

Former Arsenal midfielderAaron Ramsey has abruptly left Mexico and returned to the UK. The shocking development follows a distressing period for the Welsh international, who has been deeply upset by the disappearance of his family dog, Halo.

The pet was left at a ranch close to where Ramsey resided after signing with Mexican team Pumas, but has been missing for more than three weeks. The 34-year-old and his wife Colleen have been heartbroken by the baffling sequence of events, publicly stating they feel deceived after a search for the missing 10-year-old dog yielded no results despite a significant reward being offered.

Ramsey's personal life took a difficult turn following an injury he sustained in late September, which led to him being pulled from Wales' World Cup qualifier against Belgium. Since then, he has been absent from Pumas' training sessions, fuelling speculation that he might be on the verge of exiting Mexico after a summer transfer that caught many off guard.

Numerous reports now suggest that Ramsey has mutually ended his contract and is once again a free agent. He departed Wales for Mexico after a brief tenure as Cardiff City's interim manager, while still playing for the club.

However, less than six months later, the ill-starred move has come to a halt, leaving Ramsey's future plans up in the air. The midfielder had offered $20,000 (£15,000) to anyone who could assist in locating his cherished beagle, last seen in San Miguel de Allende, in Mexico's Guanajuato region.

The midfielder hasn't featured for his new side since a 4-1 loss to America at the end of September, having initially sustained a hamstring problem.

That setback ruled him out of the most recent international duty with Wales, but the hunt for his missing dog has also contributed to his continued absence from club activities.

Questions surrounding what happened to Halo, whom Ramsey has owned for more than a decade, have intensified in recent weeks, with wife Colleen recently indicating the dog may have been taken after being left at a local shelter.

Posting on social media last week, Ramsey wrote: "We've remained quiet trying to understand how you can leave your dog on a ranch and never see her again.

"Without any explanation? The cameras weren't recording, a tracked couldn't find her, no sightings, no body, and a pile of lies."

Asked about Ramsey's circumstances following Sunday's stalemate with Leon, manager Efrain Juarez said: "We're monitoring it. I said it on Wednesday - let's see what happens in the coming days.

"He's dealing with his situation, which we all know about, involving his dog. Also, there was an issue before he left during the FIFA break.

"So, we'll have to wait and see what happens in the next few days."
