AISSEE 2026 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date for online applications for the All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE 2026). According to the revised schedule, candidates can now apply for admission to Class 6 and Class 9 until November 9, 2025.
The institute has also extended the last date for submission of examination fees to November 10, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates or their parents are advised to complete their applications within the stipulated deadline by visiting the official website, exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society.
AISSEE 2026 Exam Date: Exam to be held on January 18
 NTA has scheduled the AISSEE 2026 exam date as January 18, 2026. The exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode (offline). Different criteria have been set for admission to Sainik Schools based on the age and class of the students:
For Class 6, the student must be between 10 and 12 years of age.
Students seeking admission to Class 9 must be between 13 and 15 years of age.
Age will be calculated as of March 31, 2026.
The application fee is as follows:
 General, OBC (non-creamy layer), Defense, and ex-servicemen category candidates will have to pay ₹850, while SC and ST category candidates will have to pay ₹700.
This time, the NTA has also included three new Sainik Schools. In June, the Ministry of Defense approved 86 new Sainik Schools as part of the plan to establish 100 Sainik Schools across the country.
Application correction opportunity from November 12 to 14
 Furthermore, the correction window for correcting errors in the application will be open from November 12 to 14, 2025. During this period, candidates will be able to make changes in their application information through the website exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society.
