The final test match of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between India and England began at The Oval on Thursday. The rain proved to be the biggest hurdle on the opening day, allowing the host to bowl only 64 overs after England stand-in captain Ollie Pope won the toss and chose to bowl first on a damp, seamer-friendly surface. After stop-start action on Day 1 all eyes will be on the weather for the second day.
