Update | August 12, 07:00

Over a couple of months after Inc42 exclusively reported that Pronto was in talks to raise fresh capital, the home services startup has bagged $11 Mn in its Series A funding round. The round was co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital, along with participation from existing investor Bain Capital Ventures.

The 10-minute on-demand home services startup plans to use the capital to expand beyond Gurugram to Mumbai and Bengaluru over the next 12-18 months. Besides, the fresh capital will help it train and onboard 10,000 additional professionals on its platform.

Pronto competes against the likes of Urban Company (with its Insta Help offering) and Snabbit in the nascent on-demand home services segment.

On competing with larger players, founder Anjali Sardana said, “This is about building a category and category creation. Hence, we’re not focused on taking business from our competitors. Our real goal is to expand the market entirely because most people still aren’t using these kinds of services.”

Sardana explained that Pronto operates with a “full stack” model for its service professionals in order to maintain quality as the platform expands. To source the talent, the startup primarily relies on referrals. Its employment model is also designed to attract and retain quality professionals.

However, Pronto’s growth hasn’t been without its challenges. Sardana noted the need for constant operational adjustments. “As a startup grows, you constantly have to change the way you operate. What worked at a small scale often breaks as things get bigger,” she explained, adding that the startup has spent the last few months re-engineering its processes to prepare for the new phase of expansion.

Delhi NCR-based home services startup Pronto, which raised $2 Mn earlier this month, is in advanced discussions with investors to raise about $12 Mn in Series A funding, sources told Inc42.

The round will see participation from two new foreign investors – Glade Brook Capital and General Catalyst, the sources added. Existing investor Bain Capital Ventures will also be a part of the round.

“The talks are ongoing and a few processes are yet to be finished. The round will close in 3-4 weeks,” one of the sources said.

A detailed questionnaire sent to Pronto founder Anjali Sardana, General Catalyst, and Glade Brook Capital didn’t elicit a response till the time of publishing this story.

Founded in 2024 by Anjali Sardana, Pronto announced its official launch in April 2025. It claims to offer on-demand house help services in 10 minutes at any time of the day in parts of Gurugram. It allows users to book professionally-trained workers through its app with three different timing options – instant (10 minutes), schedule ahead, or recurring.

Its services include sweeping, mopping, utensil washing, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, laundry assistance, chopping vegetables, and other daily essential tasks.

Earlier this month, while announcing its $2 Mn fundraise from Bain Capital Ventures, Pronto said it plans to open 10 new ‘hubs’ and expand its services across Gurugram over the next 90 days. It recently launched its second hub in Galleria Market, Gurugram.

It added that it was also looking to hire 700 professionals and 50 corporate employees across operations and engineering teams in the coming months.

The Quick Service Boom

While the quick commerce segment began with grocery deliveries, it has expanded to medicine, food, fashion, and more over the past few years. The latest such market seeing a boom under quick commerce is on-demand home services. As a result, investors are lining up to infuse capital in startups operating in the on-demand home services

Earlier this week, Inc42 exclusively reported that Pronto’s competitor Snabbit is in talks to raise around $20 Mn in its Series B funding round from Lightspeed Venture Partners. In January this year, Snabbit raised $5.5 Mn in its Series A round led by Elevation Capital.

IPO-bound Urban Company is another startup operating in this segment. The consumer services startup, which is looking to raise INR 429 Cr via a fresh issue through its IPO, launched ‘Insta Help’ in March to provide househelp in 10 minutes.

In the same month, another Delhi-NCR-based startup, Broomees, launched a new vertical ‘BroomIT’ to offer house help within 15 minutes in South Delhi.
