EastEnders' Max Branning ordered out of Walford in scenes following shock Zoe Slater kiss

Max Branning arrived back with a bang in tonight's EastEnders, as Stacey Slater got the shock of her life when she caught him kissing Zoe Slater. The cliffhanger had fans on the edge of their seats, and spoilers for tomorrow's episode tease trouble for Max, who's 'ordered to leave Walford' by one character.

Stacey was left in complete and utter shock when Max crashed his daughter Lauren's wedding in The Vic, as Kat told her to go upstairs to avoid him.

Later, Kat caught her daughter Zoe chatting to him, as she warned her away. Of course, at the moment, none of the residents are aware of Zoe and Max's secret past, but is that all about to be revealed?

As Stacey walked out of The Vic to head home, Max couldn't help but follow her home, where the pair reminisced on old times, with Max breaking down in tears.

As he emotionally admitted he didn't have many people to talk to anymore, Stacey let him come in for one drink, and it appeared like things were about to escalate. However, Stacey put a stop to things and told him to go home, as Zoe walked through the door.

"Is he bothering you?" she asked. Max later left, and Zoe, who was adamant on Stacey staying in Walford, told her it might not be such a bad idea for her to leave for Brazil after all. As she questioned why would want to stay in Walford with Max around, her daughter Lily also agreed she should flee.

Later on, Max and Zoe caught up outside the Vic, as she thanked him for his help with Greg and the money to help try and find her son.

"I'm really sorry things went wrong with us, 'cause truth is, I liked you. I really liked you," she said, as Max said he felt the same way. However, he said the pair were too chaotic for each other, and that he was trying to change.

Zoe then leaned into kiss him, and although Max resisted at first, it wasn't long before he went in for a kiss himself, with a shock Stacey Slater looking on in a dramatic cliffhanger.

EastEnders are keeping Stacey's reaction on the downlow for now, but spoilers for tomorrow night reveal that Stacey isn't the only one Max needs to worry about, as he argues with his daughter Lauren. After missing much of her wedding, the pair argue over their similarities as Lauren orders Max to leave Walford. But will he leave?

Elsewhere, there's more trouble for Max as Cindy is left stunned when she finds out Max is back, as she heads to The Vic to face the man who killed her son, Steven.

Lacey Turner has also spoken out about what fans can expect next after her discovery, and it looks like drama is about to go down. “When Stacey sees Max and Zoe kiss, it’s such a shock. She had no idea they knew each other, let alone that they were a couple, so I think she’s in such disbelief. She feels betrayed by Zoe, but she’s reminded that this is typical Max behaviour as it’s what he always does!" she said.
