Makeup artist takes last minute wedding booking and can't get over who bridesmaid is

A makeup artist stepped in at the last minute to do the makeup for a bridal party at a wedding and then ended up working on a celebrity’s face. Weddings require a lot of planning and organising in the run up to the big day, with the beauty prep an integral element of ensuring a bride feels her best.

Makeup artists working a wedding often take care of the bridesmaids too, with the morning typically dominated by a strict schedule to get everyone ready in time. One makeup artist got a shock after she “almost said no” to covering a wedding and then “ended up doing Madelyn Cline’s makeup”.

Madelyn Cline is an actor and model known for her starring roles in the hit Netflix series, Outer Banks, the film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery and, recently, the slasher film I Know What You Did Last Summer, which is a follow up to the 1998 sequel, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

She also played the lead in the 2025 romantic drama film, The Map That Leads to You, which is an adaptation of J.P. Monninger’s novel of the same name.

Taking to Instagram, makeup artist Galya Gornishka shared a video of the actor’s finished look.

In the caption accompanying the clip, Galya explained how the situation came to be. She penned: “When I almost said no to a wedding… but ended up doing Madelyn Cline’s makeup.

“Fun story - this wedding wasn’t even my own booking! I was asked to cover it for another company, and truthfully, I almost declined because my schedule was already packed.

“But the workaholic in me said yes (like I usually do).”

Galya, who’s originally from Bulgaria but now lives and works in the US, then added: “I did my bride’s trial, and everything seemed pretty normal… until the wedding day when she casually dropped the bomb that her first cousin and bridesmaid was none other than Madelyn Cline from Outer Banks.

“And yes - I got to do her makeup!”

In the comments section, people were keen to share their thoughts. One person said: “She’s so insanely pretty I’ll never get over it."
