Noel Gallagher has given his first interview since the start of the Oasis reunion tourand praised his brother Liam for “smashing it” whilst admitting his own legs “turned to jelly” on the first night.
He also declined to comment when asked about the chances of the band playing Knebworth next year, an anniversary show many fans are desperate to see and will now hope could happen.
Guitarist and Oasis songwriter Noel, 58, spoke to his pal Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent on TalkSport about his beloved Manchester City, before talk turned to the historic tour. It comes after Peggy Gallagher posed with a huge star at Oasis gig as she finally sees sons' reunion tour.

Of the reunion with Liam, Noel said: “I’ve been completely blown away. It's difficult to put into words. It’s kind of every night is the crowd’s first night, so every night has kinda got the same energy to it. But it’s been truly amazing. I'm not usually short for words, but I can't really answer.”
On the first night at Cardiff, the band’s first gig in almost two decades he added: “We're not really a band who kind of have huddles before we go on or anything like that.
"I can't speak for anywhere else, but for me personally, I grossly underestimated what I was getting into. After about five minutes I was like can I just go back to the dressing room and start this again.
"I don’t mind telling you my legs went to jelly about halfway through the second song and I could have done with going back. It has been an amazing thing.”
Noel then spoke about his brother Liam in glowing terms. The pair have walked out holding hands for every show in venues in Dublin, Edinburgh, London and their hometown of Wembley as well as the opening weekend in Cardiff.
On their hugs on stage, he said: “We are not those kinda guys. It is great just to be back with Bonehead and Liam and just be doing it again. I guess when it is all said and done we will reflect on it. It’s good being back in the band with Liam, I forgot how funny he was!”
On Liam's vocals which have won universal praise, he said: “Liam is smashing it, I am proud of him. Having fronted a band for 16 years I know how hard that is. I couldn't do the stadium thing like he does, I have gotta say man I look at him and think 'good for you mate’.”

Asked if Knebworth was happening or when the tour would end, Noel then said with a laugh: “Lets talk about football.”
He spoke about Manchester City’s win at the weekend and then said he was now really looking forward to Oasis playing the River Plate stadium in Argentina in November.
He added: “It's the second last show, and we played there a couple of times, and Argentina, without doubt, is in the top five places for us to play in the world.
“We are going to Toronto on Friday and then we’re in the States for the best part of a month and then Mexico and then back for two more Wembleys.
“When it all started there were a few people who I thought would come looking for tickets but after the first gig my phone exploded. Once they had seen it online there was a mad scramble for it.”
He admitted it was wild to see so many fans even outside singing along to the shows and said: “Something else is happening that we haven't put our fingers on yet.”
Oasis are on tour for the first time in 16 years and have now completed there Uk and Ireland dates aside from two more shows at Wembley when they return for the US.
Tickets went on sale last year and sparked unprecedented demand. The gigs which began in Cardiff on July 4 have received rave reviews everywhere and sparked emotional scenes both in the stands and on stage.
