Grammy-nominated soul singer Tamar Braxton has shared a shocking revelation that she "almost died" two days ago after waking up in a "pool of blood".
The star, who lists Diana Ross and Mariah Carey as musical influences, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a severe accident she had over the weekend that nearly claimed her life. Although she didn't go into detail about the incident, the 48-year-old musician revealed she woke up covered in blood and found out she had fractured her nose, lost teeth, and suffered mobility loss.
This comes as a number of celebrities have recently opened up about their past health struggles, including actor Chad Michael Murray who disclosed that he almost died after losing 50% of his blood. In Tamar's distressing post, she wrote: "I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can't even really talk anymore I'm so weak."
She went on to say, "I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood by my friend with a face injury. As the days go by it gets worse. I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility."

The All the Way Home singer shared a snippet from the Bible on her Instagram Story, specifically Proverbs 31. This final chapter in the Book of Proverbs describes the traits of strong and virtuous women, emphasising wisdom, hard work, and kindness.
Underneath her most recent Instagram post, which reached her 6.1 million followers, fans sent well-wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery. One fan wrote, "Praying for you sis so sorry."
Another supporter penned, "Praying for strength and healing speedy recovery." A third follower added, "Praying so glad you are still here."
Tamar has battled numerous health issues over the years, including vitiligo, pulmonary emboli, and thoracic outlet syndrome. She's also been open about her mental health struggles, including severe depression and anxiety, as well as a suicide attempt in 2020.
This health update comes as Tamar is currently touring the US, with an upcoming show on 27 September in Atlanta, Georgia and another on 19 November in Detroit, Michigan. The Grammy-nominated artist, who was previously a member of The Braxtons, has released several hits throughout her music career, including Love and War, The Boss, The One, Pieces, Let Me Know, Prettiest Girl, among others.
