Diabetes: This report has been submitted by a diabetologist and Union Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, to Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda. This report has been named 'Yoga and Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes'. Till now, traditional medicine and yoga experts have believed that yoga can be effective in controlling and preventing diabetes.
Diabetes: In today's changing lifestyle, diabetes has become a common thing. Diabetes is a disease that is increasing rapidly all over the world today. Once someone gets type 2 diabetes, it does not leave them for the rest of their life. Science does not have a permanent cure for it yet, and it can only be controlled through medicines and lifestyle changes. If someone in your family gets diabetes once, then there is a high possibility of it coming to the next generation as well. But you can avoid it by making a little change in your lifestyle. This has been revealed in a recent study.
This report has been submitted by a diabetologist and Union Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh, to Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda. This report has been named 'Yoga and Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes'.
Diabetes can be reduced by yoga
Recently, a report was submitted by the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India, which states that regular yoga practice can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes to a great extent. This report has been prepared by RSSDI under the leadership of its former president Dr. SV Madhu. In this report on diabetes, it was found that people who did yoga daily had a 40% reduction in the risk of getting diabetes. Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this is the first time that yoga has been documented as a scientific measure of prevention of type 2 diabetes.
Let us tell you that till now, traditional medicine and yoga experts have believed that yoga can be effective in controlling and preventing diabetes. However, the scientific community did not take it very seriously. But now, when new research has come out on this subject, it has raised hopes that yoga can be adopted as an effective scientific measure to prevent diabetes.
On which people was the study done
Dr. Jitendra Singh said that till now most of the research was done on people who are already suffering from diabetes, and it was seen how yoga can reduce their need for medicines or insulin. But this new study is based on those people who are not yet suffering from diabetes, but may be at risk of it in the future. Especially those people who already have a history of diabetes in their family. In this research, an attempt has also been made to understand whether the onset of this disease can be prevented with the help of yoga.
The study is very helpful
This study is still at an early stage, and a more in-depth investigation is going on to confirm it. According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, similar research projects are going on under the Department of Biotechnology, which aim to understand the impact of traditional methods like yoga on health. This initiative proves that methods like yoga can be helpful in modern health problems by investigating them scientifically.
