A startling case of corruption has surfaced in Rajasthan, where the wife of a government officer allegedly drew a salary of Rs 37.54 lakh from two private companies without attending work. The case came to light after a complaint was filed in the Rajasthan High Court, revealing that she had been listed as an employee at both firms for nearly two years without performing any duties.
According to the petition, Poonam Dixit, wife of Pradyumna Dixit, Joint Director in the Information Technology Department at Rajcomp Info Services, was allegedly on the payroll of Orionpro Solutions and Trizen Software Limited — two companies that had secured government tenders. The complaint alleges that she received the salary as part of an arrangement in exchange for the tenders awarded to these firms.
The revelation has raised serious concerns about corruption and misuse of power in government departments, prompting calls for a detailed investigation into the nexus between officials and private contractors.
