Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor, currently busy with upcoming projects ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Brahmastra 2’, will soon don the director’s hat.
During an Instagram Live session held on his brand’s page, the ‘Ramayana’ actor confirmed that he has already begun working on his directorial debut.
Ranbir further revealed that he has started a writer’s room and has two ideas in mind for his directorial debut.
“I am dying to direct a movie. I have actually started a writers’ room recently. I am trying to inspire myself with the two ideas I have. I am starting to work on it, but it is definitely on my to-do list in the next couple of years,” Ranbir revealed.
The actor will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ along with his wife Alia Bhatt and his ex-flame Katrina’s husband Vicky Kaushal.
When asked about his reunion with Bhansali, Ranbir said, “Love and War is a film directed by Mr Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and it stars one of my two favourite actors, Vicky Kaushal, and, of course, my super talented wife, Alia Bhatt.”
“It’s directed by the man who taught me everything about cinema; whatever I know about acting was seeded in by him, and he was a master then, and I’m working with him 18 years later, and he’s even bigger a master today. So I’m very happy with that collaboration,” he added.
Giving an update on ‘Animal Park’, Ranbir said it should start in 2027.
“Sandeep (Reddy Vanga) has been interacting with me on the idea, the music and the characters, and it’s just crazy, and I can’t wait to be on set.”
Talking about his birthday celebrations, Ranbir said, “Well, it has been great. I spent the entire day with Alia and Raha. And just done nothing except… Raha made me a promise that she will give me 43 kisses. So I got that. And then she made me a beautiful card. which really moved me. So it has been a perfect birthday.”
“I had a wonderful birthday last night. Actually, my entire last two days have been great because I was with family. I was with my mother (Neetu Kapoor), Alia and Raha. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday,” the actor concluded.
