The salaries of the stars appearing on Celebrity Traitors has reportedly been revealed ahead of the BBC series premiere. Anticipation is building for the celebrity edition of the thrilling gameshow, which will see a stellar line-up of British celebrities compete later this year.
The show will feature comedian Alan Carr, songstress Charlotte Church, broadcasting icon Stephen Fry, and Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway, all vying to win £100,000 for their chosen charities as either Traitors or Faithfuls.
But it's not just the charity prize that's turning heads; reports suggest each celeb is bagging a hefty fee for their time on the show. On the latest instalment of The Rest Is Entertainment podcast, Marina Hyde and Richard Osman spilled the beans on the rumoured paychecks the celebs are set to receive alongside host Claudia Winkleman in the castle, reports Wales Online
Marina pointed out the intrigue in comparing the BBC's Celebrity Traitors with ITV's I'm a Celebrity, noting the high calibre of participants involved. "It's certainly interesting to compare something like Celebrity Traitors on the BBC to I'm a Celebrity on ITV. We haven't seen the celebrity version yet, but we know it's going to be huge. Just look at the quality of the people they've got," she remarked.
Richard chimed in with insider info, mentioning he'd heard from someone who previewed the first episode that it's 'apparently amazing', while Marina divulged further into the speculated fees.

"For that, they were able to pay everybody a blanket 40k fee, right? I am spilling all my tea today. They're paying them a 40k fee," she claimed.
If every participant in this year's series of Celebrity Traitors is receiving a standard fee of £40,000, this would suggest that at least £760,000 is being handed out amongst the stars taking part.
The BBC has been contacted for comment.
Nevertheless, these reported wages remain considerably lower than the payments given to celebrities who take part in ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
In 2024, it was alleged that Coleen Rooney secured the highest fee for entering the jungle, reportedly earning £1.5million. Former professional boxer Barry McGuigan is understood to have received £500,000 for his stint on the show, whilst Harry Redknapp, who won the crown as King of the Jungle during his series, allegedly earned the same amount.
It was recently disclosed that the Celebrity Traitors cast faced a peculiar problem whilst filming, when production crew initially refused to reveal the time when asked.
"When we were in the castle, you'd be like, 'What's the time?' And they'd say, 'It's Traitors time.' That was their response," revealed Ted Lasso star Nick Mohammed on The Comedian's Comedian Podcast.
"Every single member of production had to answer with that until someone kicked off. And then someone said it is basically alright, and you can tell us the time."
