Manchester United have rejected another Chelsea player as part of a swap transfer involving Alejandro Garnacho, according to reports. The Blues are pushing to sign Garnacho before the September 1 transfer deadline, but have, so far, been reluctant to meet United's £50million asking price.

Chelsea are said to value the 21-year-old winger at around £30m, which has prompted Stamford Bridge chiefs to offer fringe players as part of the deal. United had already rejected the chance to sign Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga, Christopher Nkunku or Nicolas Jackson in return for Garnacho.

However, it's claimed that Chelsea have not given up their attempts to lower Garnacho's transfer fee by including stars on the periphery of Enzo Maresca's squad in their offer.

According to , United have now turned down Tyrique George in exchange for their academy graduate.

The 19-year-old winger is expected to leave Chelsea before the deadline, with AS Roma reportedly among his suitors.

George has made 26 appearances for the Chelsea first team, scoring three goals and registering five assists.

But United have made it clear that if their Premier League rivals want to sign Garnacho, they must meet their financial demands.

The Argentina international is believed to have made his stance clear. He wants to join Chelsea or remain in Manchester until the January transfer window.

Garnacho has also been the subject of interest from Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Saudi Pro League clubs, including Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr.

However, he is adamant that he wants to remain in the Premier League with Chelsea, and is ultimately expected to seal his switch.

He is one of several outcasts whom Ruben Amorim has struggled to shift this summer in his efforts to generate funds for further incomings.

Garnacho joins Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia in Amorim's 'bomb squad', training away from his squad since the start of pre-season.

Marcus Rashford was also exiled before sealing a season-long loan move to Barcelona. He spent the second half of last term at Aston Villa following a fallout with the United boss.

Rasmus Hojlund has since joined the fringe quarter in the shop window, having been excluded from the first two Premier League squads this season.

United are set to complete the £17m signing of Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens this week. Amorim also wants a new midfielder, and Garnacho's sale could be the key.
