The Celebrity Traitors has been gripping BBC viewers each week since landing on screens earlier this month. It's challenging to work out how the series will go as all three Traitors are still in the game (as it stands). The Traitors are singer Cat Burns, chat show legend Jonathan Ross and comedic royalty Alan Carr. So far, they have survived every banishment and murdered a host of Faithfulls such as Paloma Faith, Tom Daley, Sir Stephen Fry and Joe Wilkinson.
The biggest question is-how have the trio got away with their crimes? Host Claudia Winkleman certainly seems unimpressed during her appearances on the programme, branding the Faithful "useless" as they keep dropping like flies.
Now, I'm an enormous admirer of Alan- he's brilliant and appears to be such an authentic individual. Nevertheless, that's precisely why I believe he's the most dreadful Traitor ever.
I met Alan in recent years when he appeared on the ITV reality series Mama Mia...Here We Go Again! and was concerned about what he would be like in real life.
To my relief, the 49-year-old was as charismatic and joyful as he comes across on screens. So when he was selected as a Traitor, I assumed he would only survive five minutes.
Remarkably, he's managed to endure days in the Scottish fortress despite perspiring heavily and behaving quite dubiously.
Alan appeared to slip up on the latest episode of the series, which aired last Wednesday evening. When Rugby ace Joe Marler said Alan couldn't be murdered, the comedian asked, 'Why not?'
Then Joe had to remind Alan he had a shield that would save him from being murdered. If Joe can convince the other Faithful how odd it is to forget a shield, all eyes might be on Alan in tonight's episode.
If Alan survives tonight, he could go down as one of the best Traitors the show has ever seen - but if he's expelled, he'll certainly rank among the worst.
I think he's too kind-hearted and open to outsmart the Faithful in order to win the show - and his scatterbrained nature might not save him at the roundtable later.
He's managed to throw some Faithful under the bus - but will he start sweating and crumble if the heats on him tonight?
The Traitors can be viewed on BBC iPlayer and BBC One at 9pm tonight.
