Landman season 2 release date, cast and trailer as Yellowstone star signs up

Landman airs on Paramount Plus and the series was inspired by the podcast series Boomtown by Christian Wallace.

The drama stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a landman for an oil company in West Texas.

Season two will see Tommy's personal life continue to be a source of drama, including the arrival of his father.

His teenage daughter Ainsley's (Michelle Randolph) love life is also a regular source of stress for Tommy in the new season.

The second season of Landman will premiere on Paramount Plus on November 16.

Season two will be made up of 10 episodes, airing weekly, with the finale set for January 18.

All of the main cast will be returning including Ali Larter as Angela Norris and Jacob Lofland as Cooper.

Kayla Wallace is back as Rebecca Savage, James Jordan as Dale, and Paulina Chavez as Ariana.

A number of new faces will join the cast, including Yellowstone star Sam Elliott.

The Oscar-nominee will play Tommy's father.

Also joining season two is Stefania Spampinato, an Italian actress known for Grey's Anatomy.

She will play the wife of Andy Garcia's character, the cartel boss Gallino.

Yes, the final official trailer was released at the end of October and it shows the messy aftermath of Monty's (Jon Hamm) death.

Sam Elliott is introduced in the trailer as Tommy tells his father "we are bringing you home".
